Senior Technician – Space Projects
Location: Brunswick, Maine
Package: $30 – $50 per hour + Benefits + Stock Options + Health + Training + Progression + Overtime

We are partnering with a pioneering aerospace company, renowned for its eco-friendly space propulsion technologies for the smallsat and cubesat markets. With significant backing from prestigious institutions such as NASA and MTI, this company is designing suborbital and small-lift orbital rockets using a novel hybrid propulsion system. They are seeking a Senior Aerospace Technician to join their innovative team working on the Starless Rogue suborbital launch vehicle.

This position would suit an engineer from an aerospace background or similar, who is motivated to get into the space sector and work on cutting rockets.

Your Role:
– Lead the assembly and fabrication of flight vehicles and related components.
– Oversee static engine testing, vehicle launch operations, and telemetry/avionics integration.

Responsibilities:
– Implement and refine manufacturing protocols to enhance efficiency and safety.
– Supervise and train team members in advanced assembly techniques and the use of specialized machinery.
– Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
– Drive project completion by coordinating with engineering teams to refine designs and solve complex technical challenges.
– Develop and enforce a rigorous maintenance schedule for all manufacturing equipment.
– Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards related to safety and quality.

Required Qualifications:
– High School Diploma or GED.
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing or a closely related industry.
– In-depth knowledge of complex assembly operations and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes.
– Must be a lawful U.S. Person (per ITAR and 8.U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)).
– Proficiency in interpreting engineering design data including drawings, CAD models, and regulatory specifications such as ASME Y15.4 & AWS D1.1.
– Expertise in at least one of the following manufacturing processes: welding, CNC machining, and/or composites layup.
