We’re supporting an urgent defence and space programme and are looking for an experienced Systems Integration Lead – Space Systems to join the team on a contract basis in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This is an immediate requirement supporting high-profile national security space programmes, and we’re looking to receive CVs as soon as possible.
The Role
You’ll lead systems integration, test and evaluation activities across complex national security space programmes, providing technical leadership throughout programme planning, verification, validation and acquisition support.
Working closely with government customers, programme leadership and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you’ll coordinate enterprise-level integration activities, governance and technical decision-making across multiple acquisition programmes.
Due to programme security requirements, this position is fully onsite in a secure facility.
Required Experience
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aeronautics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or another relevant technical discipline
- 10+ years of experience supporting:
- Test and Evaluation (T&E)
- Verification and Validation (V&V)
- Test strategy and planning
- 5+ years leading complex enterprise-level test and evaluation activities
- Experience integrating space and ground segments across national security space, MILSATCOM or related space programmes
- Experience authoring or owning Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) for major acquisition programmes
- Experience leading enterprise governance forums, technical review boards and integration teams
- Experience presenting technical briefings to senior acquisition executives and representing programmes at external technical forums
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple acquisition programmes and stakeholder organisations
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, organisational processes, charters or operational procedures
- Experience supporting Software Acquisition Pathway (SWAP) programmes, certification activities or acquisition compliance efforts
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Project or programme management certifications (PMP, PEO or equivalent)
- Systems engineering certifications such as INCOSE CSEP, ESEP or OCSMP
