Are you a Senior Structures Engineer looking to take full ownership of structural systems in one of the most exciting clean energy programs of the decade?

You’ll work across shielding, containment, and high-temperature assemblies, ensuring mechanical integrity under extreme environmental and operational conditions.
This position would suit an experienced structural engineer ready to lead the end-to-end development of complex hardware, from trade studies and analysis through to manufacturing and test.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead design and analysis of structural subsystems including shielding systems, containers, and high-temperature assemblies.
* Perform detailed thermomechanical and dynamic analysis (static, fatigue, vibration, shock) using hand calculations and FEA tools.
* Conduct material selection, structural trade studies, and performance evaluations.
* Develop BOMs, manufacturing and assembly plans, and test procedures.
* Manage subassembly timelines, vendor development, and risk analysis (FMEA).
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet mechanical, thermal, and space constraints.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, or Structural Engineering.
* 6+ years of experience designing structural hardware.
* 4+ years of experience in structural analysis using tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, or FEMAP.
* Strong background in stress analysis, fatigue, and thermal expansion effects.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes and product lifecycle documentation.
Eligibility
* Must be authorized to work in the United States.
* This is a full-time, on-site position based in El Segundo, CA.
* Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when required.
