Are you an experienced Turbomachinery Engineer looking to lead the development of next-generation hardware for advanced power generation systems?

On offer is the opportunity to take ownership of the turbomachinery core to a groundbreaking closed-loop cycle engine, designed for portable, factory-built, zero-emissions power solutions. You’ll drive the full lifecycle of development, from conceptual design and analysis through to hardware testing and production scaling, in a high-impact, multidisciplinary engineering environment.

This position would suit a highly motivated engineer with a deep technical foundation in turbomachinery who is excited to work on first-of-a-kind energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of turbomachinery supporting a closed-loop Brayton cycle with a recuperator.
* Translate heat engine performance requirements into conceptual and production designs for supercritical CO? systems.
* Collaborate with adjacent system teams to optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
* Maintain and evolve system-level heat engine performance models.
* Oversee prototype builds, testing campaigns, and production readiness efforts.
* Drive decisions impacting the long-term production and cost efficiency of the system.

Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
* 5+ years of experience in turbomachinery design and hardware development.
* Strong proficiency in fluids modeling (compressible and incompressible flows).
* Experience in structural analysis of rotary machinery, including waterfall plot analysis.
* Proven ability to translate broad mechanical requirements into detailed wheel, shaft, bearing, and alternator designs.
* End-to-end ownership experience-from concept through part design, build, and test.
