We’re offering a unique opportunity for a European-based professional to relocate to Abu Dhabi and join a forward-thinking satellite organisation at the forefront of AI-driven space services. In this role, you’ll oversee system integration across space and ground segments, ensuring seamless delivery and performance for mission-critical communications programs.
This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of satellite communications and a proven track record leading multi-disciplinary integration projects across space, ground, and networking domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the systems engineering and integration for new satellite communications programs.
- Manage the full lifecycle of SATCOM systems from design and procurement through to testing and acceptance.
- Oversee system-level modelling including link budgets, capacity planning, and availability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure coherent technical delivery across segments.
- Support proposal reviews, technical evaluations, and the development of procurement specifications.
- Manage integrated system test plans and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Drive system-level tool acquisition and support legacy system integration.
- Consolidate project schedules, support budgeting, and provide progress reporting to senior leadership.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- 10+ years’ experience in the satellite industry, with at least two full programs leading end-to-end system integration.
- Strong background in satellite communications (space segment, ground segment, terminals, and networks).
- Expertise in link budgeting, terminal performance, waveform modelling, and IP networking.
- Proficient in system analysis tools and structured project management.
- Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or ITIL are desirable.
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders and complex integration efforts with precision.
