NewSpace Technical have partnered with an innovative Geo-intelligence tech company based in Germany in search for experienced Geospatial Software Engineers, Full-Time.

This is a great opportunity to join a rising Geo AI tech start-up, who are backed by strong climate-tech, NewSpace capital ventures and a growing commercial client base.

As an Experienced Geospatial Software Engineer, you will be a key independent contributor to the team. Your role will involve bringing fresh ideas and contributing to the design and development of their AI platform. As the product is still in its early stages, you will have a unique opportunity to add your influence on the architecture, tech stack, and tools that will shape the future of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Geo AI data platform across the full software stack.
  • Implement efficient and scalable solutions for processing and analysing large-scale climate and geospatial data.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, AI researchers, and other engineers to integrate AI models and algorithms into the platform.
  • Ensure the robustness, performance, and security of the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Geospatial Software Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Rust
  • Experience with geospatial libraries and frameworks (e.g. Rasterio and Xarray, GDAL, GeoPandas, PostGIS).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques for geospatial data.
  • Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with experience integrating them into geospatial applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with climate data analysis and related tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS) and their geospatial services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
