Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Package: Competitive Salary + Stock Options + Premium Benefits + Flexible PTO
Are you a Senior Fluids Systems Engineer looking to lead the design and delivery of complex, high-performance thermal-fluid systems in a first-of-its-kind energy platform?
On offer is the opportunity to take full ownership of fluid system architecture for a compact, clean energy power generator. You’ll lead system design from concept through to manufacturing, testing, and production, developing subsystems that convert reactor heat into usable electrical power. This role sits at the core of an ambitious program redefining portable, emission-free power.
This position would suit a hands-on engineer with deep knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and thermal systems, ready to make a critical contribution to the future of distributed clean energy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end design of fluid systems and components including compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and piping networks.
* Conduct detailed thermal and hydraulic analyses using both hand calculations and FEA tools.
* Perform system-level trade studies to optimize performance, cost, and reliability.
* Create and manage assembly instructions, test plans, BOMs, and supplier selection.
* Own manufacturing schedules, risk assessments (FMEA), and subsystem integration plans.
* Communicate clearly across teams to ensure alignment between mechanical, thermal, and power systems.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
* 4+ years of experience designing, building, and testing fluid systems.
* Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat exchanger design.
* Demonstrated ability to take ownership of systems from concept to tested hardware.
* Proficiency with system modeling and verification techniques.
