We are partnering with an innovative aerospace company developing advanced electronic systems for next-generation space applications. As part of a growing multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in developing, validating, and automating test solutions for complex board-level electronics used in mission-critical environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys designing sophisticated test systems, developing automation software, and working closely with hardware, software, RF, and systems engineers throughout the full product development lifecycle.
Design, develop, and implement test plans, procedures, and automated test solutions for complex electronic systems.
Develop scalable and reusable test architectures for board-level electronics, including digital, power, and RF hardware.
Design and execute prototype, qualification, verification, and acceptance testing.
Develop software tools and automation frameworks to interface with hardware and laboratory equipment.
Create modular, reusable test software using Python or similar programming languages.
Perform board-level verification, including signal integrity, digital interface validation, power supply performance, and environmental testing.
Support integrated hardware and software testing of complex electronic systems.
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define test requirements and improve product testability (Design for Test).
Analyse, document, and present technical test results to engineering stakeholders.
Contribute to laboratory development, equipment selection, calibration activities, and continuous improvement of internal test tools and processes.
Support the development of technical documentation and provide guidance to technicians during testing activities.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
4+ years of industry or research experience developing electronic products and/or automated test systems.
Experience designing and executing test plans for custom board-level electronics.
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, including:
Digital Oscilloscopes
Spectrum Analyzers
RF Signal Generators
Vector Signal Analyzers
Experience developing automated test software using Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Embedded C, SQL, or similar languages.
Strong understanding of electronics verification methodologies and hardware debugging.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Experience working with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, and network security.
Experience developing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for engineering or production test environments.
Familiarity with electronic communication interfaces including:
CAN Bus
SPI
I²C
USB
GPIB
VISA
SCPI
Analog-to-Digital Conversion (ADC)
Previous experience within the space, satellite, aerospace, or defence industries.
