This position would suit a hands-on DevSecOps professional seeking deep ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to help engineer the backbone of a modern aerospace platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and secure a GitLab environment, managing CI/CD pipelines, runners, and integrations.
* Configure and optimize automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for rapid iteration.
* Manage containerized workflows using Docker and OCI registries (e.g. Harbor).
* Implement and maintain Cloudflare Zero Trust architecture for secure internal access.
* Integrate security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) across the software lifecycle.
* Support compliance efforts with NIST 800-171 / 800-53, providing audit evidence and documentation.
* Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and other IaC frameworks.
* Monitor and enhance infrastructure security, resilience, and performance.
* Mentor engineers and advocate for DevSecOps best practices across teams.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
* 5+ years’ experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or SRE roles.
* Hands-on expertise with GitLab administration and CI/CD pipeline design.
* Strong background in container management (Docker, Harbor).
* Proven experience managing Zero Trust deployments (Cloudflare preferred).
* Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and/or NIST 800-53 compliance frameworks.
* Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Helm).
* Eligible for or possessing a U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience with Kubernetes administration and orchestration.
* Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
* Experience with MDM tools (e.g. Microsoft Intune).
* Familiarity with Apache Airflow DAGs.
* Cloud experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
* Certifications such as CISSP, CKA, or GitLab Certified Associate.
* Advanced degree in a relevant technical field.
