We’re supporting an urgent defence and space programme and are looking for an experienced Senior Crypto Systems Engineer to join the team on a contract basis in El Segundo, California.

This is an immediate requirement, and we’re looking to receive CVs as soon as possible.

The Role

You’ll provide systems engineering expertise across secure military space and ground programmes, supporting the design, integration, verification and sustainment of cryptographic capabilities throughout the system lifecycle.

Working closely with government customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in cryptographic systems, NSA certification activities and key management processes.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, this role is fully onsite.

Required Experience

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or another technical discipline
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering across the full system lifecycle, including concept, development, production, operations and sustainment
• 15+ years of Systems Engineering experience, including areas such as:
• Cryptographic systems
• Cybersecurity
• Requirements development
• System verification
• Integration and testing
• 10+ years of experience with:
• Cryptographic systems
• NSA certification processes
• Key Management processes
• 5+ years of experience supporting military, DoD or Intelligence Community space and ground programmes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce technical documentation and present to stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
