Are you a Senior Controls Systems Engineer looking to step into a high-impact role at a fast-growing clean energy manufacturer?

On offer is the opportunity to develop and deliver the control systems behind a first-of-its-kind nuclear microreactor, designed to provide distributed, zero-emissions power for critical infrastructure and remote operations. You’ll lead the end-to-end development of algorithms, software, and control loops that ensure safe and stable reactor operation.

Join a multidisciplinary team focused on building the future of clean energy through compact, factory-built power systems. This role is ideal for engineers ready to own technically complex systems from concept through to deployment and testing.

This position would suit a Senior Engineer with deep control systems expertise looking to make an immediate and lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of embedded control systems for key subsystems including generator control, reactivity management, and thermal-fluid regulation.
* Design, implement, and validate algorithms and models for system-level control performance.
* Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to integrate control logic across the platform.
* Support simulation, prototyping, and hardware testing for system verification.
* Contribute to safety, stability, and regulatory documentation for critical control functions.

Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
* 5+ years of experience designing and implementing real-time control systems.
* Proficient in modern motor control algorithms including field-oriented control and PWM.
* Strong knowledge of system stability, bandwidth design, and timing-critical architectures.
* Experience with embedded programming (C/C++) on ARM or similar platforms.
* Familiarity with field bus protocols such as EtherCAT, CANOpen, and RS-485.
* Hands-on experience with inverter systems and high-power electrical equipment.
