Introduction
We are hiring a Communications Antenna Subsystem Engineer to support the GeoXO COMM Antenna Subsystem through Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR). This is a long-term contract role with a key focus on design, analysis, specification development, and integration/testing for a high-profile aerospace project.
The Opportunity
This role provides an opportunity to contribute to next-generation space-based communication systems. You will be responsible for link analysis, RF testing, performance specification development, and integration support, ensuring the successful delivery of critical design milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Analysis:
- Perform data review, link analysis, and high-power RF test analysis to support Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) deliverables.
- Author and deliver communications subsystem documentation required for ITU and NTIA filings by CDR (Q3 2026).
- Conduct ad-hoc communications subsystem analyses for PDR (Q3 2025) and CDR (Q2 2026).
Specification Development & Subcontract Support:
- Develop, review, and release communications hardware performance specifications ahead of System CDR (Q3 2026).
- Collaborate with suppliers for fact-finding and specification refinement to meet contract timelines.
Integration & Test:
- Support test plan development, test procedure creation, and pass/fail criteria definition for integration and testing leading up to System PDR (Q3 2025) and CDR (Q3 2026).
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience with communications subsystem design, RF testing, and analysis.
- Expertise in link analysis and high-power RF testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of ITU and NTIA filing requirements for aerospace communication systems.
- Hands-on experience developing hardware performance specifications and working with suppliers.
- Strong background in integration and testing of communications subsystems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, supplier, and testing teams.
