System Engineer (Propulsion)

We’re working with a space manufacturer in The Netherlands that specializes in AOCS, Propulsion, Avionics, and Thermal solutions for spacecraft supplying big names such as NASA, Sierra Space, and Thales.

This company is seeking a System Engineer to lead the development of propulsion products for spacecraft, ensuring alignment with customer requirements. This role is part of the Core Team, collaborating closely with the Program Manager, Product Owner, and Product Assurance Engineer.

Your Role:
* Technical oversight of propulsion product development, from design to qualification.
* Manage technical trade-offs in preliminary phases and understand customer needs.
* Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure effective execution of designs.
* Conduct functional and system engineering analysis.
* Assist in design changes and address non-conformances during procurement and assembly.
* Develop test plans and procedures to verify equipment and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
* Review customer documents and execute design choices.
* Support schedule and budget management.
* Perform functional analysis and system development tasks.
* Create documents for data packages for review processes (EQSR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB).
* Coordinate with supply chain and production for technical content and test phases.

Qualifications:
* BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
* Experience in System or Expert Engineering role in a high-tech, multidisciplinary industry.
* Knowledge in space propulsion systems, mechanical engineering, and assembly integration.
* Strong analytical, communication skills, and proficiency in technical English (C2).
* Knowledge of ECSS and Space Design Process Flow is a plus.
* Intermediate Dutch (B1) and a driving license are advantageous.
