Product Assurance Engineer
Location: Vicenza Region, Italy
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid (3 days in-office)
Salary: Up to €70,000 + Benefits

At the forefront of innovation, we design and deliver cutting-edge space and ground solutions – from Earth observation systems and laser communication terminals, to optical ground stations and opto-mechanical instruments for space situational awareness and defense.
We are now growing our team and looking for a Product Assurance Engineer ready to take on meaningful responsibilities within critical projects.

The Role
As a Product Assurance Engineer, you will take on quality assurance activities across complex opto-mechanical, laser communication, and defense programs. You’ll act as the key quality interface between our customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring technical compliance and reliability throughout the project lifecycle.
Depending on your experience and preference, you will be involved in one of two key focus areas:

  • With the Engineering Team – You’ll be engaged primarily in space projects, particularly during the early phases. You’ll contribute to PA planning, client meetings, and design/materials/testing reviews.
  • With the Production Team – You’ll focus on the final product and quality processes across a broader range of projects (not limited to space). You’ll ensure that delivery meets high standards through close supervision of quality procedures and outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage Product Assurance (PA) plans
  • Handle NCRs, RFDs/RFWs, ESA alerts, and manage critical items
  • Lead PA audits, inspections, and milestone reviews
  • Oversee cleanliness, contamination control, and quality documentation
  • Support FMECAs, qualification, and acceptance campaigns
  • Chair or participate in NRBs, TRRs, TRBs, PDRs, and CDRs
  • Capture lessons learned and drive quality improvement

Requirements:

  • A degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Physics)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product or Quality Assurance (ideally in space or aerospace)
  • Solid understanding of quality processes and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with ECSS standards
  • Experience managing subcontractors or external suppliers

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary subject to experience
  • Relocation support can be provided
  • Be part of a collaborative, fast-paced, international team
  • Hybrid work model (3 days in the office) with facilities including a gym
  • Permanent contract with excellent career progression opportunities
