On offer is a key opportunity to join an early-stage startup building a next-generation Smart Factory system. You’ll contribute across multiple domains, from embedded electronics and QA to server environments and CI/CD pipelines, supporting the seamless integration of hardware and software systems.

This position would suit a systems-focused engineer excited by full-stack IoT challenges and eager to grow with a company scaling from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
* Configure and manage network infrastructure including routers, firewalls, and IoT device connectivity.
* Administer Linux/Windows environments and oversee system performance, reliability, and uptime.
* Support database setup and maintenance across SQL and NoSQL systems.
* Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, web applications, and analytics platforms.
* Deploy software via version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines, and resolve build issues with development teams.
* Integrate IoT sensors and electronics, including flashing firmware and running basic diagnostics.
* Develop and execute test plans for hardware/software integration; log faults and support debugging.
* Act as first-line support for live deployments, working with internal teams and customers to resolve system issues.
* Document issues with logs, screenshots, and data outputs to aid efficient resolution.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
* 3-5+ years in systems or network engineering, ideally with experience in IoT environments.
* Strong grasp of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and protocols like HTTP, REST, SSL/TLS, MQTT.
* Proficiency with Windows and Linux administration and shell-level command-line work.
* Experience with database tools (SQL, NoSQL), system backups, and performance optimization.
* Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and debugging multi-layered systems.
* Electronics troubleshooting, sensor integration, and experience with technologies like BLE or NFC.
* Located in Austin, TX, and able to support on-site hardware testing.
