Ground Systems Test Engineer

Are you an experienced Test Systems Engineer ready to lead verification, integration, and evaluation for high-profile defense and space programs?
On offer is a 2-year contract role supporting a multi-domain program at the forefront of test and evaluation systems engineering. You’ll be responsible for shaping and executing test strategies, supporting data collection and analysis, and coordinating key stakeholder meetings across systems, ground, and space segments.
This position would suit a T&E professional with a deep understanding of DoD and Air Force testing frameworks, and the ability to lead test planning and execution from system-of-systems down to component level.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage T&E strategies, Master Plans (TEMPs), and system verification roadmaps.
* Define test objectives, methodologies, and evaluation criteria for integration events.
* Collect, analyze, and report test data across hardware and software interfaces.
* Support implementation of a common T&E database and DevOps tools for analysis.
* Drive end-to-end integration planning and traceability between verification plans and test events.
* Represent T&E in IPTs, TIMs, audits, DRBs, and MIPRBs.
* Provide impartial verification and compliance status reporting to Government stakeholders.
* Develop internal processes and draft operating procedures to improve T&E workflows.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
* 10+ years of systems engineering experience.
* 7+ years of DoD/USAF T&E experience, including oversight of test schedules and documentation.
* 7+ years of experience leading multi-faceted test teams.
* 3+ years of experience with space systems (space, ground, or terminal segments).
* Familiarity with capacity planning, test resource prioritization, and system-of-systems verification.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

* U.S. Citizenship required.
* Must be able to work on-site in El Segundo, CA.
* Contract role: 2-year duration.
* Minimal travel required.
