We are looking for an experienced Senior Geospatial Engineer who is ready to take the next step into a CTO role, working for our client:- a London-based Climate Tech startup.

Our client is building a next-generation geospatial data platform that combines remote sensing, AI/ML modelling, and risk applications to help build resilience against climate risks. It’s a great opportunity to take ownership in shaping both the product and the engineering culture from the ground up.

The Opportunity

• Take the lead in defining and executing the technology strategy in line with commercial milestones.
• Design and build scalable geospatial data platforms, cloud-native workflows, and high-volume data pipelines.
• Guide product development from prototype ? proof of concept ? production-scale platforms.
• Grow and mentor a small engineering team, while working hands-on with cutting-edge geospatial and AI/ML technologies.
• Partner with the CEO to align technical direction with customer needs, sales opportunities, and investor expectations.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in remote sensing (multi-spectral, SAR, optical, or similar).
• Strong background in applied modelling (spatial, temporal, ML/DL).
• Expert in Python and modern cloud-based workflows.
• Experience with geospatial datasets & tools (QGIS, PostGIS, SQL).
• Track record of product development and scaling infrastructure for commercial use (DevOps, CI/CD).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to set and deliver on ambitious product milestones.
• Passion for applying technology to climate resilience and natural hazard risk management.
• Nice-to-have: SAR experience, Bayesian statistics, Docker/Kubernetes, GPU-accelerated computation.
