We are partnering with a renowned space engineering firm that offers flexibility, work-life balance, and a welcoming, friendly environment. This company provides a unique opportunity for engineers to work on hardware that will actually orbit Earth. If you’re passionate about working with satellites, developing docking systems, or building science instruments, join us for meaningful work in challenging space projects.

Your Role:
As the AIV Manager, you will be responsible for the Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV) of satellites, ensuring they are ready for launch. You will manage the entire AIV process, from reviewing requirements to overseeing environmental, functional, and electrical testing.

Responsibilities:
– Setup and maintain AIV planning in accordance with the project schedule.
– Manage Environmental Verification/testing (e.g., Vibration & Shock, Thermal vacuum test), electrical testing (e.g., EMC test), and functional/operations testing (from unit level to full satellite level and ground station interaction).
– Conduct regular meetings with the AIV team to track progress, discuss daily planning, and ensure task awareness.
– Report to the Project Manager/Technical lead on progress and propose workarounds to minimize impact on overall project planning.
– Maintain an overview of all activities, ensuring alignment of shared resources to support testing.
– Follow up on Non-Conformance issues with Product Assurance, assess impacts on ongoing/planned tests, and coordinate relevant test documentation (test procedures/reports/analyses).
– Interact with project managers, technical leads, functional test leaders, and related teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
– Present a consistent Verification Control Document (VCD) at Qualification Acceptance Reviews (QAR) or Final Acceptance Reviews (FAR) to the customer, ensuring all higher-level requirements are met and successful close-out is achieved.

Required Qualifications:
– Degree in engineering.
– Significant AIV experience in space projects, preferably satellites.
– Fluency in English.
– Highly motivated and passionate about space systems. Pro-active, creative, enthusiastic, and result-oriented team player with a broad view.
