Are you a strategic engineering leader with deep SATCOM and systems design experience, ready to lead high-impact space and ground system programs in one of the world’s most dynamic regions?

We’re hiring for a Senior Manager – Products System Engineering to head a multidisciplinary engineering function at the core of next-generation satellite services. Based in Abu Dhabi, this role is a rare opportunity for a European-based technical leader to relocate and drive engineering delivery, integration, and innovation across mission systems, ground operations, and customer programs.

You’ll shape technology strategy, manage complex delivery programs, and guide a team of engineers as the company continues to expand its capabilities in cutting-edge satellite communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and integration of full SATCOM systems and ground operations.
• Oversee system-level engineering processes, including specs, documentation, testing, and link analysis.
• Ensure projects are delivered on-time, to spec, and in alignment with contractual obligations.
• Build technical governance, streamline engineering processes, and mentor junior staff.
• Support commercial teams with risk-mitigated technical proposals and delivery strategies.
• Manage internal and supplier relationships with a focus on program quality and accountability.
• Ensure effective project handover to O&M, including training, documentation, and operational readiness.
• Set and maintain the company’s technology roadmap for continuous innovation and system upgrades.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications or Electrical preferred).
• 8-10+ years’ experience in satellite communications, telecommunications, or related fields.
• Proven experience leading complex satellite programs across ground, payload, and platform systems.
• Strong capability in link budgeting, availability assessment, and systems design.
• Expertise in program delivery, from system integration to customer acceptance.
• Skilled in project management, budgeting, and team development.
• PMP, Prince2, or ITIL certification is advantageous.
• Military SATCOM experience is a plus.
