Integration and Test Engineer (HIL/HILT)
Location: El Segundo, California, United States
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Package: Competitive Salary + Stock Options + Premium Benefits + Flexible PTO

Are you an experienced engineer with a background in hardware/software integration and test, eager to build a foundational validation platform for a groundbreaking energy technology?

We’re looking for a hands-on Integration and Test Engineer (HIL/HILT) to develop a complete hardware-in-the-loop test environment that supports the validation of complex electrical and embedded systems. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a test platform critical to verifying the performance of a first-of-its-kind product.

Whether you come from an electrical integration, system validation, or embedded test background, if you’ve worked with PXI systems, dSPACE, Speedgoat, or similar environments, this could be your chance to lead a transformative program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain a PXI-based HIL test system from the ground up.
  • Integrate power supplies, simulated loads, actuators, and sensor networks into robust test benches.
  • Interface real hardware with digital twin simulations and control software.
  • Own the development roadmap for test equipment, harnessing, and system integration.
  • Automate validation tasks using scripting and test frameworks.
  • Collaborate across electrical, software, and systems teams to support integration, debugging, and root cause analysis.
  • Document processes, write clear procedures, and participate in technical reviews.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system integration and/or hardware-in-the-loop test environments (e.g., NI PXI, dSPACE, Speedgoat).
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand, plus scripting in Python, C++, or C#.
  • Strong understanding of DAQ systems, signal conditioning, and debugging hardware interfaces.
  • Experience working hands-on with test setups, wiring, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Eligibility

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
