This position would suit a highly experienced aerodynamicist looking to lead breakthrough design and performance improvements in an elite aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead aerodynamic design and analysis across subsonic, transonic, and supersonic flight regimes.
* Perform CFD simulations, including gridding and post-processing using multiple solvers.
* Develop and implement advanced shape optimization and MDAO frameworks.
* Create and refine parametric geometry models to drive configuration trade studies.
* Support wind tunnel test design, execution, and data analysis.
* Mentor and guide a multidisciplinary flight sciences team.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
* 10+ years’ experience in aircraft aerodynamic design and CFD.
* Expert in CFD solvers, parametric modeling, and wind tunnel methods.
* Experience with adjoint-based and heuristic optimization techniques.
* Track record of building and integrating MDAO systems for high-speed aircraft.
* Proficient in synthesizing multi-fidelity data sets for vehicle-level design and testing.
* Strong experience with HPC environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
* Must be authorized to work in the United States.
